Block yourself from Google Analytics

Your Analytics ID is the code Google Analytics (GA) provided you with. It looks like UA-XXXXXX-X or UA-XXXXXX-XX. To find it log on to GA, on the Web Profiles table look for the website you want to exclude yourself from, the ID is listed under Name.

Once you have it, enter it below and click on Submit. This will generate a file and 3 simple instructions which will exclude you from GA reports.

Now to create a cookie using HTML

  1. Copy the code above into a file and save it to a file called blocker.html.
  2. Upload blocker.html to the root of your website.
  3. Browser to that file. e.g. If you're domain is domain.com, the browse to http://www.domain.com/blocker.html and click on Set cookie. Job done!
